You may or may not have wondered what other career paths for teachers exist. Even if you love your job, this very thought has crossed your mind.
There are many people who are perfectly happy teaching, and that’s awesome! It truly is a job that many were born to do and remain passionate about.
The ever-increasing demands of the job, however, have left many teachers burnt-out and in an unhealthy mental (and even physical) place.
One former teacher, Daphne Williams, has found her purpose in life by helping teachers who feel “stuck” find new career paths. Daphne is a curriculum designer and educational consultant who also helps teachers transition out of the classroom if that is what they wish to do.
Daphne has a full career coaching course for teachers that is extremely helpful and is gaining a ton of popularity. I will go into more detail below.
(**The links to the course in this post are affiliate links, however, I would NEVER promote something that I don’t love or stand behind**).
She has a free Facebook group, as well.
Other Career Paths for Teachers from Kitten Approved Curriculum
Daphne has several courses that will fully support you and help you feel confident about a career change. All courses are extremely helpful, thorough, and help you decide what to do in a step-by-step way. She has worked with a career counselor to develop her courses, as well!
Teacher Career Coaching
This course includes a self-care and productivity planner, along with how to select your career path, building a resume, networking, job interviewing, and more!
Daphne also talks about why people find it so difficult to quit teaching, and why you should not feel guilty about it at all!
Building Your Resume Mini-Course
Another course that was made available is the resume course!
As people who may have believed that our purpose was to teach, which we focused on entirely during college and starting our lives out, it can be difficult to think of yourself as a “professional” in other ways.
This course helps you build a resume that capitalizes on your teaching strengths/skills, and how they can help you transition to a new career!
Choosing Your Career Path Mini-Course
Like stated above, many of us may feel stuck when trying to figure out just what we want to do. We know that we want to switch careers, but we have absolutely no idea where to go from there!
This course helps you narrow your search down. It gives you ideas about where to go and how to use your strengths in other professions!
Don’t Be Afraid to Explore Career Paths for Teachers
It can be overwhelming, but many who have left the profession have never been happier. They feel that they have their personal/family time back and that they are not nearly as stressed… while being paid more!
Teaching is a wonderful profession, but you should not feel “stuck” in it if it’s not what you want to do.
You owe it to yourself and to your students if you feel a calling elsewhere!
